This 12-hour event aims not only to be a festive gathering of family and friends but a historical event to gather 10,000 Dabawenyos to break the Guinness Book of World Records of the most number of people blowing their torotot (party horns) at the same time.

“This coming New Year’s Eve will be a unique and exhilarating spectacle of lights and sounds, a synergy of thrilling events and a grand tapok-tapok with the finest local talents and promising stars,” said the City Government of Davao.

To fuel more excitement, SMART, the Philippines’ leading wireless services provider, will be giving away prizes for the largest and most creative contingents.

Barangay with the most number of torotot blowers:

  • 1st Place – P50,000
  • 2nd Place – P30,000

Most creative torotot:

  • 1st Place – P25,000

“Be part of the history as we break the Guinness Book of World Records and put Davao City in the history. Let’s drive out the bad spirits of 2013 and welcome the positive vibes of 2014,” said Arnold Dellosa, Smart Communications Sales Manager for South Mindanao.
