AirAsia Features Malagos Chocolate in its In-Flight Meal

AirAsia is now offering a new meal for its guests as part of the Santan in-flight menu. The special dish created by Chef JP Anglo features roasted dalandan chicken with pimiento flavoured  sauce using the famous and internationally-renowned chocolates of Malagos Farm.

This brand new meal was recently launched here in Davao at the Malagos Garden Resort in Calinan. Witnessing the launch were the Puentespina family who owns the Malagos Garden Resort, AirAsia executives as well as travel and lifestyle bloggers from Davao, Cebu, Manila and Malaysia.

Chef JP Anglo is ecstatic over this dish, his very first for an airline. “I love it that AirAsia is literally taking Filipino homegrown products and talents to greater heights,” he said. He also shared that a chorizo dish and a chocolate sauce he encountered in Spain were his inspiration in making AirAsia’s newest in-flight meal. Other hot meals included in the Santan menu are the Nasi Lemak, Chicken Rice and Thai Green Curry.

One very lucky guest during the launch was our very own Davao blogger Gem Tadefa. He won the Best Photo for the Instagram contest and a free round-trip ticket to any AirAsia destination of his choice during the raffle. Congratulations!
