Quarantine Essentials: Beauty Items to Keep You Blooming

Since we’re women, we cannot go on without sharing beauty essentials. Despite all the stress that this pandemic has brought us, we should keep beauty essentials to keep us young and fresh.

Julie of The Life Chaser recommends Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm by The Body Shop.

Quarantine Essentials: Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm by The Body Shop

“Ever since wearing face masks has become part of our lives, I have temporarily stopped applying full makeup to avoid maskne. I would occasionally do my brows if I’m feeling a little extra, but on a regular day, my new “makeup” routine simply includes sunblock, loose powder, and lip balm.

Lip balms have always been one of those things that I use daily, whether I’m just in the house or I’m out and about. One of my all-time favorites is the Born Lippy Strawberry Lip Balm by The Body Shop. I have been using this product for so many years now, and it remains to be one of my favorites. I love that it’s super moisturizing, and it keeps my lips plump and hydrated throughout the day. Not to mention, it smells super delicious; I almost always want to eat it!

Wearing face masks all the time can dry out your throat, which results in dry mouth and chapped lips. Make sure to always hydrate by drinking lots of water, and of course, slather a good amount of moisturizing lip balm to your puckers to avoid having dry lips.” – Julie

Born Lippy Strawberry lip balm is available on all Body Shop stores nationwide.

Quarantine Essentials: GT hydra White Body Serum

Irish of Chibi Trips‘ Must-Have Product: GT hydra White Body Serum

“During the quarantine, my skin got very dry due to the weather conditions. I tried many different lotions and moisturizers throughout the period. Some worked for me, and some did not. Luckily, GT hydra White Body Serum worked the most, especially during my skin recovery period. What I love the most about this body serum is its breathable formula. As a hypo-allergenic product, it’s very light and non-sticky. It also has a fragrant orange scent which I always look forward to smelling after I shower. I highly recommend this body serum.” – Irish

Athina of I am Mrs. A recommends TYESO Vaccum and Insulated Mug

“For some reason, I slowly became addicted to Iced Coffee during the start of the pandemic. As an essential worker (banker), we still continued operations despite the pandemic and iced coffee (I prefer iced over hot) to keep me sane and awake while doing my job. That’s why I am so glad that I bought this tumbler – TYESO FAVORITE – in light blue color.

Imagine, at 7 am I make my own Iced Coffee at home (just 3 in 1 with lotsa ice lol), I go to work and sometimes get busy. I check my tumbler at 3pm and voila!… The ice cubes are still there. And my coffee still tastes good. I also bring this tumbler with me when I visit coffeeshops and ask them to put the coffee here instead of their own cups to minimize the use of plastics.” – Athina

Quarantine Essentials: Singer Portable Sewing Machine

Hobbyist/Crafts & Sewing Enthusiast Andi of andiolarte.com loves her Singer Portable Sewing Machine

“It’s never a waste of time to spend time on something you love to do. A lot of people have been investing in their homes or their hobbies during these challenging times. In my case, this sewing machine is my personal hobby and home buddy that kept me sane during this quarantine. Sewing is something that I have been doing on top of my full-time job, and it gives me time off from my responsibilities. I bought this Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine last May, and I’m amazed that this portable sewing can sew through layers of denim. Definitely worth the investment!” – Andi

Quarantine Essentials: Canva

Miah of Mama Miah Online recommends Canva

“Canva is one of the best tools that I used in creating images for my blog and social media posts. I highly recommend this to fellow bloggers who want to level up their blogs and social media presence.

Anyone can create anything using this platform–from logos, invitations, presentations, banners, book covers, etc. I even used it in creating my Curriculum Vitae. Canva is an amazing tool that even a kid can use to design beautiful graphics. It has an easy-to-use drag-and-drop function, and you can choose from its wide variety of elements and effects.” – Miah
