As the golden hour paints Davao’s skies, the Davao Weekend Market at Davao Global Township comes to life. The DGT Weekend Market is a flavor-filled paradise that opens Thursdays to Sundays, 4 PM to 10 PM (often stretching past midnight!) until the end of August 2025.
The members of the Davao Bloggers Society recently visited the weekend site. With over 50 food and shopping spots to check out, we had a great time enjoying their offerings.
“Going to DGT is a way for my family to relax after a busy week. It has everything: diverse food offerings (special mention my faves Southwing, Davao Bites, Pasugba Torres, Freshko, and Rancheros Lechon Baka), great music, and local shops where you can go shopping. It’s a perfect way for me to support local businesses and make my family happy without breaking the bank. I also love that most, if not all of the vendors there offer foodpanda deliveries. Even if I’m not exactly at DGT, I can enjoy my favorite food from their local shops.” – NeP-C Ledesma of electricmoi and The Pop Blog

“As much as I love walking around and making sure I’m in shape, I also love eating and spoiling my tastebuds. Like my dad loves to say, “I exercise so I can eat good food”; and for me, the best time to look for food and to eat is after a round or three of walking or jogging, this is where DGT Weekend Market comes in, you have a place to jog around the area and do your fitness thing, and you also have a place to eat and have a feast! My go-to places at the DGT Weekend Market are Southwing Cafeteria for my fried chicken fix, Colasas Barbecue and Classio for my rice and pizza, yes carbs and carbs. And Hagtags for their fun, creative, and refreshing drinks. It’s honestly hard to pick where to eat because they have tons of stores to choose from, it’s just a matter of how hungry you are and the food you are craving for. But what if you can’t come to DGT but your cravings just won’t go away? Easy peasy, you can order most of them because these stores are also on foodpanda.” – Near Chua of Near Here.
“What I like about DGT whenever I get the chance to visit is the place itself,it’s nice to have a new spot to hang out. It’s perfect for a simple picnic while enjoying the relaxing ambiance. I especially love the DGT Night Market where there are now plenty of food options that are both affordable and delicious.
I personally love that SouthWing and Davao Bites are there too, they even offer coffee, like the ones from Hagtags Café. What makes it even better is that some of the food stalls there are also available on Foodpanda, so you can enjoy your favorites even when you’re just at home.” – Goin Pineda of Keep Goin

“Last Saturday marked my second visit to DGT, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. I had been craving something—I just didn’t know what exactly—until I stumbled upon the xiao long bao, and it instantly hit the spot! The ambiance at DGT was so lively and cheerful; it’s the kind of place that naturally lifts your mood. Personally, I get easily affected by a happy environment, and being surrounded by such good vibes truly made my day. If you’re looking for a place to satisfy your cravings and boost your mood, DGT is definitely worth the visit!” – John Balagtas of JK: The Daily Trips
“Had a great time dining at DGT! Despite the crowd, the atmosphere was surprisingly chill, thanks to the live band playing that night. They were really good, setting the perfect tone with their lively yet relaxing music. It made the whole experience more enjoyable whether catching up with friends, just unwinding, or having a few beers. Music like that makes you want to stay a little longer. Definitely a place worth coming back to!” – Glenn Magallano of No Stranger to Wonder

“What I love about DGT Weekend Market is how it makes weekends simple. You don’t have to plan much because it already has everything you need for a great time with family or friends. From grilled favorites and refreshing drinks to comfort food, there’s so much to enjoy. I personally like ramen, fruits-in-a-cup, Davao Bite’s fried xiao long bao, Rancheros Lechon Baka, and South Wing’s burger — everything was delicious.
There’s also plenty of entertainment, and you can shop for local products like souvenirs, ukay-ukay, fashion items, and more.
The vibe is lively and laid-back, with music, open space, and vendors who are genuinely proud of what they offer. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s a spot to relax, connect, and enjoy honest, flavorful food while supporting local businesses. Plus, you can go for a walk before or after eating since DGT is so spacious!” – Kim Permaci of Embracing Tracks

“DGT is one of my go-to spots in Davao as it has greenery that soothes my spirit when I do walk or run. I also like the park since it is an awesome spot where I can bring my family or friends for little picnics and have fun with kiddos, and they provide benches for a more pleasant stay that are also clean. And, most importantly, it is closer to Davao Memorial Park, where we usually visit our parents at the cemetery, so we don’t need to bring food and instead walk to the DGT market, where they have plenty of options based on our preferences – they probably have your favorite food there; mine includes food such as pizza and a choice of refreshing drinks to select from, as well as my favorite Freshko. Everything is right there, so we don’t need to go anywhere else to relax or eat. Band music also offers.” – Jesh Dalhog of Madayaw Mom
