August is all about abundance – in culture, color, and celebration. And this month, the Davao Bloggers Society shines the spotlight on someone who is just as vibrant: Crewenna “Kaye” El Alid, a lifestyle vlogger and DBS member whose bubbly charm and authenticity are lighting up both CDO and Davao.

Though Kaye is based in Cagayan de Oro, she is no stranger to Davao’s festivities. In fact, she is back for her second round of Kadayawan, drawn once again by the unique energy, culture, and warmth that the festival brings.
“I love Davao, especially during Kadayawan season,” she says. “The vibe is just different. It’s a great time to reconnect with friends and family – and discover something new about the city.”
This year, Kaye is exploring not just the Crocodile Park but checking out new local shops in Davao – all while vlogging her experience in the latest episode of her new eries, EveryKaye Diaries. Her Kadayawan episode (Ep. 3) drops this week, and she is inviting everyone to follow along.
Kaye’s journey as a content creator began with blogging – featuring products, events, and local brands she loved. But it was during the pandemic that her true creative shift happened. She started vlogging, launched her YouTube channel, and fell in love with being in front of the camera.
“That was the turning point. I realized, ‘This is what I want to do.”

Her content is driven by her personality – joyful, relatable, and personal. From dressing up and daily life to helping small businesses through honest reviews, she makes sure every post is something she enjoys and stands by. And yes, she plans her content meticulously with feed previews and scheduling apps to keep everything aligned with her vision.
Kaye’s most memorable experiences? Gaining real friendships through DBS and working with dream brands she once thought were out of reach. But like many creators, she has also learned to navigate negativity online with grace and resilience.

“Content creation made me realize I am creative and capable – but I also need to stay grounded and careful. Hate exists online. You just can’t take it personally.”

Her advice to aspiring creators from the provinces: start with what you have, and stay consistent.
“Everything starts from zero. No one becomes successful overnight.”
And she is definitely not slowing down. After Kadayawan, Kaye plans to continue her vlog series, launch a new collaboration in CDO, and attend another exciting Davao event soon.
