September always signals a shift. It is the time to refocus, get organized, and figure out how we are doing this thing called life. For Brienne Joel Tahodo, our blogger of the month, it is also a reminder that passion does not have to take a back seat, even when life gets busy.
Brienne wears many hats: by day, he is in Marketing & Sales, leading a structured work life full of targets, meetings, and campaign plans. But after hours, a different side of him comes alive. The blogger in him who treats content not as a career move, but as a personal outlet.
“At work, I thrive on structure. But when I log out, I crave creativity,” he says.
“My content is like a digital diary. It is not curated for perfection, but created to connect.”
Brienne’s blogging journey began back in 2013, during the heyday of local style bloggers like David Guison. What started as a modest K-pop blog became his way of escaping the pressures of corporate life. He was not chasing likes or brand deals but he was preserving memories and expressing himself.
That honesty never left his content and eventually, it started attracting the attention of brands he genuinely loved. Suddenly, the blog became something in between — a space where creativity and opportunity could co-exist.
Even with a full-time job, he makes time for his blog. Sometimes sacrificing downtime, sometimes saying no to social invites. But every post he publishes feels like a quiet win. He lives by Google Calendar and Trello, with color-coded blocks for everything from content shoots to family time.
“Some weeks I’m overflowing with ideas. Other weeks, I pause instead of forcing it. That’s okay.”
For editing, he keeps it simple with Lightroom Mobile. It is fast, efficient, and flexible enough for his on-the-go lifestyle.

The biggest challenge? Consistency and staying motivated without burning out. Brienne is candid about the pressure of keeping up with trends, algorithms, and the online pace that never really slows down.
“People do not see the late nights, or the weekends I skip out just to finish a post. But I am not here to go viral. I do this because I enjoy telling stories.”
His proudest moment recently? Simply hitting “publish” on a blog post in the middle of a chaotic week.
“That post wasn’t perfect, but I showed up. That’s enough.”
When asked what advice he would give other creators, his answer is grounded and simple:
“Don’t compare timelines. Real life comes first. When you live fully, the content follows naturally.”
As 2025 winds down, Brienne plans to explore more lifestyle content. Pieces that show the honest, unfiltered side of his journey. Whether it is about work-life balance or personal growth, he wants to keep it real.
“I don’t have everything figured out. But I make space for passion. That’s what matters.”

This September, let Brienne remind you: you do not need to have it all together to keep creating. Sometimes, showing up is already the win.
